The 8th & 9th South Shields (St. Michael's) Brownies

Brownies is all about learning new things and having a lot of fun!

All Brownies in our pack are part of a Six, this is a team of six brownies each lead by a Sixer and deputised by a Seconder.

Each Brownie plays an important part in their Six.

Fun activities and challenges help Brownies recognise their own talents and appreciate the importance of the skills that their other Brownie friends have, while working as part of a team.
After six weeks, our new Brownies are now ready to make their Brownie Promise:

I promise that I will do my best:
To be true to myself and develop my beliefs,
To serve the Queen and my community,
To help other people and
To keep the Brownie Guide Law

Each year our Brownie Pack go away on pack holiday for a week. Brownies and Owl's both look forward to pack holiday as its full of exiting fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Some of our pack holiday activities include nature walks, outings, the end of week party and of course camp fire with toasted marshmallows, weather permitting! Brownies have a fantastic time and don't even mind helping with the cooking and cleaning chores!

During our Brownie Pack meetings, Bownies take part in many different activities and challenges, which include playing games, making things, singing, working hard to achieve their promise and interest badges and much more.

We also take our Bownies on lots of educational visits, such as outings to Edinburgh Zoo, the Fire Station and the Centre of Life, just to mention a few. Brownies look forward to these outings, they really enjoy learning and working together.

At Brownies, learning is a lot of fun!
